Annalisa Cervi

Born in Valenza, Italy, also named “the golden city,” Annalisa spent her childhood surrounded by art, beautiful jewelry, and gemstones, and a culturally rich and sophisticated environment, being the third generation of a jeweler’s family.

She grew up in the countryside, immersed in the beauty of the nature of her splendid family house, located in the Monferrato area, one of the most important wine districts of Italy, also renowned for the strong literacy tradition, the beautiful castles, and historical sites.

Besides jewelry, horses were Annalisa’s family passion. At the age of three, she started to learn horseback riding trained by her dad and her older brother. Soon she discovered also a great passion and talent for dance.

Since a very early age she loved to follow her dad into his workshop and observe him while he was creating his wonderful jewels, she was fascinated by everything around her; the stone’s colors, the technique, and tools used but mostly the precision and search of perfection in her dad’s crafts.

Her talent as designer was shown since she was very little, she used to spend hours drawing, particularly outfits for her dolls and then, helped by her Mom, which was a very talented and renowned shoe designer and maker, Annalisa learned how to realize her little creations.

Jewelry, fashion, art, culture, elegance, and sophistication, were the symphony of elements in Annalisa’s surrounding heritage. Her strong desire to express her creativity and the passion for the art of jewelry grew even more after she enrolled at the Valenza’s Institute of Art B. Cellini and started working after school in her brother’s workshop as designer and wax carver.

Her talent was noted during the school years and she graduated with special merits, receiving a job offer for the position as junior designer from Damiani, one of the most famous Italian jewelry brands, right after college. Annalisa accepted the position but also continued in parallel her study of Architecture and Interior Design at the University of Turin.

Annalisa’s exceptional design skills and her elegant and feminine taste made her be noticed again when she participated, presenting few designs, at the annual De Beers Diamonds International Award and all her designs where selected as finalists.

After just one year at Damiani she was promoted and relocated at the Milan showroom with the new position as Senior Designer for the VIP customers where she was in charge of creating the special orders and the one of a kind pieces for the celebrity customers of the mason. Her talent started to be known in the industry and new opportunities arrived for Annalisa after just few years.

In 1998 she accepted a position of Head of Design and Product Development at Pasquale Bruni, one of the most brilliant Jewelry Designers, an experience that influenced her entire career. In 2000 Annalisa opened her own Design Studio in Valenza and that was the real beginning of her international success.

Thanks to her innate talent, her passion for details, the continued research of femininity and elegance and the desire to learn and open her view, she obtained the attention of the most prestigious International Jewelry, Watches and Fashion Brands and she started traveling around the world to collaborate with them on creating their jewelry collections.

She has collaborated with Brands such as Roberto Coin, Graff, Harry Winston, Versace, Benneton, Faberge’, Bottega Veneta, Ippolita, Canadian Ice Diamonds, Paolo Costagli, Belle Etoile, just to mention a few.

In 2008 she moved to Thailand where she lived with her husband and her two kids until 2014, being able to expand her knowledge of the Asian market, working for the most renowned Asian Brands.
During this time, she won the first price at the JCK Jewelry Show Contest 2011 in Las Vegas in the category “Bangle under 10.000 $. She won the first price at the JCK Jewelry Show Contest 2012 in Las Vegas in the category “Ring under 2.500 $.

She won the Merit Award at the International Jewellery Design Excellence Award 2013 of Hong Kong with the “Anastasia Italian Resin Cuff.” In 2014 she moved to New York where she accepted a position of Design and Product Development Director at David Yurman working side to side with Mr. and Mrs. Yurman.

At the end of 2015, Annalisa decided was time to reopened her Design Studio in NY, start collaborating again with the American’s most prestigious Jewelry and Fashion Brands. In 2016 one of her bigger dream became true, she was engaged by Ralph Lauren for the creation of their High-End Jewelry collection. Since she was a child her admiration for the fashion brand was incredible, and for Annalisa, finally have the honor of collaborating side to side with Mr. Lauren, sharing their vision and creating together, was a priceless experience!

Her career and reputation started expending and growing also in the Art world. In the same year, she also had the privilege to collaborate with the international renown Spanish Artist Juan Ripolles, for the creation of his jewelry pieces.

She travelled few times to Spain where she stayed at the artist house, to work together with him, studying, capturing and learning his style and secrets to transfer then into the jewels for him created. Another priceless and unforgettable experience that have been the beginning for Annalisa to start painting and sculping herself.

In 2019, Annalisa and her family decided to move to the West Coast, where today she lives with her family in the beautiful Newport Beach. After collaborating with many renown brands in the west and south west as Martin Katz, Kabana, Jude Frances, Sheryl Lowe and Lugano Diamonds to name a few, and especially after the hit of COVID-19, Annalisa decided that was the time to celebrate what’s really important in life and share directly her work, passion and love with the world.

The Annalisa Cervi Design opened this year, where Annalisa meets for a one on one experience with her customers, designing and creating for them one of a kind pieces that are not just beautifully crafted, but each one is extremely meaningful for the person who owns it, capturing and carrying their stories and emotions.
